Abelardo A. Del Toro

Abelardo A Del Toro of Devine, Texas passed away on April 1, 2020 after reaching the age of 74 years old.

Abelardo was born October 17, 1945 in Natalia, Texas to Andrea and Juan Del Toro.  

He served with honor in the E Company, 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry; 101st Airborne. His bravery during the Vietnam War earned him the Air Medal, Bronze Star, Purple Heart ,and the Combat Infantryman Badge. He was Honorably discharged on February 1,1975.

This loving, amazing, hardworking and strong man was a cherished member of his family and is fondly remembered.

Beloved husband of Marta Del Toro.

Loving father of Sandra Maldonado, Bonnie De La Rosa, Lupe Gonzales Jr., Abelardo Del Toro Jr., Terrie Del Toro, and Alice Del Toro.

Darling son of Andrea and Juan Del Toro who preceded him in passing away.

Proud grandfather of Noel Sanchez, Andrea Park, Sara De La Rosa, Jacob De La Rosa, Tawny Dinwiddie, Logan Dinwiddie, Auby Del Toro, and Novalee Del Toro.

Adoring great-grandfather of Saint Sanchez.

Dear brother to Cipranio A Del Toro who preceded him in passing away, Frank A Del Toro and Juan A Del Toro Jr.

Private burial will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.
