Anne L. Thompson, a beloved member of the Lytle, TX community, passed away on October 19, 2023, leaving behind cherished memories and a lasting impact on all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Born on November 15, 1937, in Galesburg, IL, Anne lived a life that was filled with passion, laughter, and love.

 

Anne would light up any room with her infectious laughter while sharing stories of her adventures . Anne possessed a remarkable talent for playing the guitar which mesmerized all who had the pleasure of hearing her play.

 

For more than two decades, Anne served as a dedicated bus driver for Lytle School District. Her commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the students entrusted in her care was unparalleled. She touched countless lives during her tenure and earned the respect and admiration of students, parents, and colleagues alike.

 

Beyond her career accomplishments, Anne's warm heart and radiant personality made her a beloved figure within the community. Known for being quite a character herself, she could always be counted on to inject joy into any gathering or conversation. Whether it was through sharing anecdotes or offering words of encouragement, Anne had a remarkable ability to uplift spirits and leave a lasting impression on everyone she met.

 

Anne had an extraordinary love for animals and was a dedicated advocate for their well-being. She showered her own pets with endless affection and cared deeply for all creatures, big and small. Her unwavering compassion extended far beyond her immediate circle, often leading her to support various animal charities and rescue organizations.

 

During her leisure time, Anne found great joy in indulging in her favorite pastimes. Anne was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Hampton, her dad Bill Hampton her father Lyle Thompson, as well as her sister Kaye Anderson, and brother Paul Thompson. She also joins beloved nephew, Michael Smith.

 

Anne's memory will forever be cherished by numerous surviving family members and friends who were touched by her kind-hearted nature and indomitable spirit. Her surviving nieces Bonita Smith, Patricia Dolinsek, Angela Huffman, and Sandra Temple will hold on to the memories of their beloved aunt with immeasurable love.

 

While we mourn Anne's physical absence from our lives, let us also celebrate the incredible woman she was. Let us remember the joy she brought to so many lives, the passion she had for her pursuits, and the deep love she held for both animals and people.
