Betty Jo McBroom

Betty Jo McBroom passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025. She was born on September 3, 1930 in Grandview, TX, the daughter of the late Carl and Leona M. Clark. Betty graduated from Somerset High School and was a member of the Somerset Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy A. Brite; second husband, Robert A. McBroom; her sister; and one grandchild.

Betty is survived by her daughter Cheryl (David) Roemer, grandchildren Stephanie (Max) Gould and Robert (Erin) Roemer; six loving great-grandchildren and five great-great- grandchildren.

Betty was a stay-at-home mom who was always ready to help whether it was at school activities or needing help with taking care of the grandchildren or anyone else in her family. She was also a substitute teacher at Somerset ISD, a Poll worker for the elections, and a Treasurer for Bexar County ESD 5. She found joy in sewing and baking for her loved ones.

A visitation will be held in her honor on December 19, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be celebrated on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Both services will be held at the funeral chapel at Primrose Funeral Services of Lytle, TX. Interment will follow at Bexar Cemetery in Somerset, TX.
