Carlos R Leal

Carlos R. Leal passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, in Peoria, Illinois. He was born in Pearsall to parents Trinidad and Santiaga M. Leal.

He was a beloved husband, dad and grandpa. He was the type of man when someone was in need he was always ready to help. We will miss him and his laughter, hugs and kisses. He was the best husband and father anyone could ask for, and he would go above and beyond to put a smile on our faces. He was a family man, and his love was beyond this earth. We all knew if we were having a bad day all we had to do was pick up the phone and call him because we knew he could turn our day around with his goofiness. And his love for music was out of this world. He would go from playing cumbias to oldies to rock, especially Kiss and that is why his favorite hobby was to DJ. He enjoyed bringing his love of music to everyone around him and for everyone he's come across they have been impacted by his kindness and for that he will be deeply missed.

Carlos was preceded in death by parents, Trinidad Leal, Santiaga M. Leal, sister, Francisca Rodriguez, brothers, Manuel Leal, Trinidad Leal Jr.

Carlos is survived by his wife, Alejandra Leal, sons, Trinidad Leal, Carlos Tanguma, Danny Leal, Nathanial Leal, daughters, Cecilia Leal, Naomi Leal, 8 grandchildren, sibling’s, Robert(Irma) Leal, Oscar(Carmen)Leal, Alicia Salazar, Florinda(Juan)Gutierrez, Maria Luisa(Ramon)Perez, Antonio Leal and Guadalupe Leal.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 17, 2020, from 2:00 pm till 5:00 pm at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated Friday, September 18, 2020, at 10:00 am at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Pearsall with interment to follow at Pearsall Cemetery.

Due to COVID-19, we are asking everyone to continue to follow CDC guidelines as well as local mandates. Masks and social distancing are required to attend services.
