It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Coleen Fisher Neal, who went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 30, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on December 21, 1938, Coleen was a cherished Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Friend to all who knew her.
Coleen was born in Oilton, Oklahoma to Lorin and Daisy Fisher. Coleen and her family moved to Pearsall, Texas in 1952 where she continued grade school. Coleen graduated from Pearsall High School in 1957.
Coleen is survived by her children; James Neal Jr.; Chris Burkett (Mike); Charles Neal (Colleen); eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister Charlotte Westbrook; Her brother-in-laws Wilson Neal (Janis), Charles Neal, Iven Neal (Ruby), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Coleen is preceded in death by her Husband of 60 Years, James P. Neal Sr.; Her parents Lorin and Daisy Fisher; As well as numerous brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws.
Coleen was an active member of the First Baptist Church located in Pearsall, Texas. Over the years, she taught children in Sunday school, volunteered her time to help in the kitchen, spent hours creating Chrismon decorations for the sanctuary, and packed shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child, a Samaritan's Purse Ministry.
As the wife of a farmer, she supported James as they endured various agricultural market cycles. As a housewife, she managed the home, family finances, as well as rearing three children. Coleen invested her time, love, and wisdom in her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Although her personality was quiet, she was loved by those who knew her best.
Coleen found joy in the kitchen especially when making delicious desserts. She was best known for her white cake and icing, peanut brittle, and pecan pie. She showed her love through her desserts.
A visitation for Coleen will be held on December 12, 2025 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Primrose Funeral Services in Pearsall, Texas. A memorial service will follow the next day, December 13, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Pearsall, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to The First Baptist Church, Pearsall, TX.
