Darion D Louis Lassere, of Somerset, passed away in his home on December 6, 2023 at 10:27 am, surrounded by and in the care of his loved ones, at the age of 45, from stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He was born August 2, 1978 in San Antonio, Texas to Julian Louis Lassere and Lois Lee Berry.

In his youth he farmed fields of hay, rode on the Laredo Trail Ride, participated in 4-H & FFA, and raised and showed livestock for the Bexar County Stock Show.

Throughout his high school years, he obtained/achieved many titles: Overall Livestock Showman, Grand Champion Swine at Bexar County, and was the 4-H and FFA President. He also attended the Gregg School of Auctioneering. He created the Cure Riders Trail Ride in memory of his dad and donated the proceeds to the American Cancer Society for the years that it ran. Darion was a giving man and helpful to all. His love for country life and agriculture was seen and felt in many different ways. He always found time to auction at events that supported the youth and agriculture. As an ordained minister, he performed several marriages. He was always willing to help others and give his time.

On January 17, 2009, Darion and Teresa were married in San Antonio, Texas at Mitchell Pit. They were blessed to be with each other for 14 years of marriage and many more prior. He enjoyed working at Benton City Water Supply Co., as it was close to home, filled with good people, and allowed him time to be involved in his community and church. As a family man, he continued those practices, and so much more, in helping the youth and others learn about God, hunting, and agriculture.

Darion was preceded in death by his father, Julian and sister, Marilyn.

He is survived by his mother, Lois Lee Lassere; wife, Teresa and their two children, Kayzen and Autumn. He is also survived by his sister, Darleen and her children Courtney (Jorge), Tori (Tim), JuliAna, and Kristin; niece, Cassy (Ronnie) Harvey and their children, Rowdy and Cashlynn.
