Diana Ramirez Salinas, 66, of Pearsall, Texas, embarked on her eternal journey on August 29, 2025, in her hometown. She was born on October 23, 1958, in Winters, Texas, to Matias P. Ramirez and Estella G. Ramirez.
Diana was a radiant and spiritual soul, known for her loving heart and humble nature. She was a devoted sister, mother, grandmother, wife, and loyal friend. Her life was marked by compassion, joy, and a desire for harmony among all those she knew. Always full of humor, she loved to play jokes, make others laugh, and sing in her signature "high-pitched" voice.
A lover of music and dancing, Diana cherished time spent with her family, especially during holidays and gatherings. One of her favorite memories was a competitive dance contest with her sisters to "Proud Mary" by Tina Turner. Known for her ever-present smile and trademark cowboy hats, she brought light and laughter wherever she went.
Diana dedicated 35 years of her professional life to the Frio County Appraisal District, where she worked with passion, integrity, and excellence. She took great pride in her role, referring to herself with humility as the "Best Tax Collector and Appraiser"-a title well-earned and fondly remembered.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Matias and Estella Ramirez; her brothers, Alex Ramirez and George Ramirez; and her sisters, Connie Ramirez, Emma Vargas, Ester Chapa, and Cecilia Ramirez.
Left to honor her memory are her loving husband, Conrad H. Salinas; daughter, Raquelin Salinas; and sons, Conrad Salinas Jr. (Grace Luna), Elias Salinas, and Carlos Salinas (Ruby Garza).
Her seven grandchildren-Adrian Joel Salinas, Julian Jovan Salinas, Chorus Cadence Salinas, Jayden Conrad Salinas, Braxton Muth Salinas, Leon Xavier Salinas, and Melody Renae Salinas-were the light of her life. She was also treasured by countless nieces and nephews, who admire her as a joyful and loving aunt.
She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Patsy Jewell (Joe), Matias Ramirez Jr. (Marivel), Mary Vega (Robert), Jesse Ramirez, Josie Velasquez (Pat), Eva Cantu (Herby), Pricilla Villarreal (Don), and Delia Sambrano (Jesse).
