Domingo Alberto Moralez was born on November 24, 1935, in Moore, Texas and passed away on June 10, 2025, in Devine, Texas. Domingo was the only child born to Santiago and Elvira Moralez of Moore, Texas.
In high school, he was a member of the Pearsall High School basketball team. He was invited to a San Antonio All Star basketball team where he scored 68 points and was selected as the most valuable player of the tournament. He graduated from Pearsall High School and went on to serve his country with the United States Navy, specifically onboard the U.S.S. Laffey.
Domingo married Evangelina Pompa Moralez, from Devine, Texas on May 26, 1961. They raised their three children in Moore, Texas and eventually moved to Devine. Domingo had a 30-year career with Kelly Air Force Base where he maintained the following positions: security service dog handler, load master, chauffeur for generals, then finishing his career in a leadership role in the metalizing division. He earned multiple awards for his dedication to his job and for never missing a day of work in consecutive years. Lastly, he was a school board member with the Pearsall Independent School District and served many years as a Little League baseball coach in Pearsall.
Domingo was preceded in death by his parents Santiago and Elvira Moralez. He is survived by his wife, Evangelina Moralez, three children Laura Morales and wife Anna, Jimmy Morales and wife Tina and Robert Morales and wife Tammy, six grandchildren-Jimmy Morales, Jr. and wife Stephanie, Michael Morales and fiancée Jade, Darren Morales, Malea Morales, Makenna Morales Bacon and husband Josh, Kaitlyn Morales and two great grandchildren- Scarlett Salazar and Brody Morales.
Domingo loved his family so much and made it a point to attend every family member’s event. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great- grandfather, and friend to many.
The viewing is from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. with the rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. at Primrose Funeral Services located at 303 W. College Ave., Devine, Texas on Thursday, June 19, 2025. Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 20, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church located at 108 S. Washington Dr., Devine, Texas, with burial following at the Moore Catholic Cemetery located at W. Duncan, Moore, Texas. Following the burial service, family and friends are invited to attend lunch at the Prue Hall in Moore, Texas.
