Frank M. Padilla

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Frank M. Padilla, beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. Frank peacefully departed this world on Monday, August 11, 2025, at the age of 85.

Born on December 9, 1939, in Pearsall, to parents Francisco and Theodora Padilla. Frank lived a life marked by hard work, dedication, and selflessness. He devoted his life to helping others and was known for his big heart and generous spirit. He cherished his family deeply and took immense pride in caring for his daughters, instilling in them values of kindness and compassion. Frank had a passion for the simple joys of life; he loved everyone and could enjoy a conversation with anyone he met. He loved spending time outdoors with his pets, attending church services, and singing hymns that resonated with his faith. His daily routine included reading the Bible, which provided him with a source of comfort and guidance throughout his life. The family is heartened by the memories of his warm smile and gentle demeanor. Frank's legacy will forever live on in the hearts of his family. He is survived by his daughters Mary Ann Ureste and husband Jesse, Cynthia Ortiz and husband Johnny Hernandez, Amy P. Diaz and husband Samuel, Joelle Matilton, eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, niece, Elvira P. Kracha, and nephew, Pete Padilla Jr. 

Frank was preceded in death by his loving wife Maria Padilla, parents Francisco and Theodora Padilla, sister Gloria P. Taylor, brother-in-law's Joe Howard Taylor and Daniel R. Ortiz, brother Pete Padilla. As we gather to honor Frank's life, let us remember him not in sadness, but in gratitude for the love he shared, the lessons he imparted, and the light he brought into our lives. He will be dearly missed but will live on in our treasured memories and shared stories.

The family invites everyone to the Visitation that will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. at Primrose Funeral Services of Pearsall. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at Iglesia Bautista Nueva Vida Church of Pearsall, with interment to follow in Frio County Cemetery to celebrate Frank's incredible journey and the lasting impact he had on those around him.  Serving as pallbearers are Jesse Ureste Jr., Jesse Ureste III, Jadon Ureste, Joe Rendon, Pete (Tito) Padilla Jr., Scotty Valenzuela and honorary pallbearer is Johnny Hernandez.
