Guadalupe S. Garza

Guadalupe S. Garza, beloved mother, grandmother passed away on August 6, 2023 at the age of 96, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on December 12, 1926, to Natividad and Josefa Castaneda in Houston, Texas. Throughout her life, Guadalupe embraced a touching spirit that filled the lives of those around her with love and warmth.

Guadalupe's passion for arts and crafts defined her creative spirit. She possessed a unique talent for crocheting that was admired by all who had the privilege of witnessing her skillful hands at work. Her creations were not only remarkable pieces of art but also symbols of her love and devotion to her craft. Guadalupe's intricate designs brought joy to the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to receive one of her handmade treasures.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Bernardo Siller, Jr., Evaristo Siller, and Roland Garza, as well as to her daughter, Esmeralda Garza. 

Guadalupe leaves behind a legacy of love through her surviving daughters, Dina Ornelas, Olga Guajardo, Escolastica Wolfe, and Estefana C. Strader; as well as sons, Joseph H. Garza and Carlos C. Siller. Her extensive family tree is adorned with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry forward memories of their beloved matriarch.

Guadalupe's life was not just marked by love for her family but also by compassion for others. She constantly extended a helping hand to those in need within her community. Her kind heart touched countless lives and left an indelible impact on all whom she encountered.

A visitation will be on Friday, August 11, 2023 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 am at Primrose Funeral Services in Pearsall, Texas.  Interment will follow in Pearsall Cemetery.
