It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Guadalupe Garcia Saenz, beloved father, grandfather, and cherished musician, who departed this world on February 14, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on March 18, 1939, Guadalupe graced the lives of many with his warmth, kindness, and a lifelong passion for music that spanned over seven decades.
Guadalupe was known for his soulful playing of the accordion, captivating audiences with melodies that celebrated life, love, and his heritage. Music was not just a talent, but the language of his heart - a gift he generously shared with family, friends, and strangers alike, filling gatherings with joy and creating memories that will live on in every note he played.
Guadalupe is preceded in death by his parents, Estanislao and Venancia Saenz, and son, Andrew Saenz.
He leaves behind his devoted son, Albert Saenz, and his beloved daughter, Norma Gutierrez. Above all, Guadalupe was a remarkable father - strong-willed, protective, and deeply caring, always wanting the very best for his family. His greatest pride was his family. His love only grew deeper as a grandfather; he treasured every moment with his grandchildren, sharing stories, laughter, music, and memories that will remain with them forever.
He loved reminiscing about his upbringing and often spoke about the many changes he witnessed through the years, passing down wisdom and history through his stories so future generations would always remember where they came from.
In his gentle manner, he taught those around him the importance of connection - through family, through friendship, and through music that brought everyone together. His life was a testament to devotion, humility, and the joy of living authentically.
A celebration of his life, filled with music and memories, will be held where friends and family are invited to honor Guadalupe's legacy at Primrose Funeral Services of Lytle on Friday, February 20, 2026 from 5:00pm - 9:00pm, with Rosary recited at 7:00pm at Primrose Funeral Services of Lytle, Texas. In this gathering, we will reminisce about the vibrant man who filled our lives with joy and melodies, culminating in a farewell that reflects the love he so freely gave. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00pm at St. Andrew's Catholic Church of Lytle, Texas. Burial will follow immediately afterwards at Immaculada Concepcion Cemetery, also called Coalmine Cemetery in Lytle, Texas.
As we prepare to say our goodbyes, we carry his spirit with us - in the music he played, the love he gave, and the family he held close to his heart. Guadalupe Garcia Saenz will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
