James Z. Garza Jr.

James Z. Garza Jr., of San Antonio, formerly of Pearsall, passed away Monday, September 23, 2019, at the age of 54.  He was born December 5, 1964, to Jaime and Maria “Luche” Luz Z. Garza. He is preceded in death by his mother.

James is survived by his father, Jaime Garza Sr.; his significant other, Sylvia Aranda; step children, Ryan Quezada, Ruben Quezada, Joe Bryan Morales, Carla Martinez, Clarissa Martinez and husband Leo Cuchillas, Cecilia Martinez and husband Joe Rodriguez, Ana Carolina Martinez, Kristy Aranda and husband Rudy Aguirre, Maria Morales; brother, Daniel Garza; sisters Martha Pichardo, Enedina “Nini” Cuevas, his thirteen grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews .

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 26, 2019, in the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 7 p.m.  Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2019, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with interment to follow in the Catholic East Cemetery.
