James W. Sharber, a wonderful mechanic known for his dedication and expertise, passed away on July 25, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on April 23, 1947, to his beloved parents, James and Doris Sharber.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Leslie Sharber and parents.

From an early age, James exhibited a natural talent and passion for mechanics. This passion led him to pursue a career in the automotive industry where he honed his skills and became highly regarded within the community. Throughout his life, James worked tirelessly to ensure that every machine entrusted to him left his workshop in impeccable condition. His commitment to excellence and unwavering work ethic earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him.

In addition to his successful career as a mechanic, James proudly served his country in the United States Army. His military service reflects his deep sense of duty and love for his country. He will always be remembered for his courage and sacrifice in defending the freedoms we hold dear.

James W. Sharber cherished the bonds of family and friendship. He leaves behind a loving legacy that includes his children: James W. Sharber Jr. (Dawn), Stacey Ann Sharber and Rhonda Lynn Clark; brothers, Wesley N. Sharber and Russell Sharber (Stephanie); sisters, Carol Hayter (Hal), Denise K. Peters (Frank) and Elizabeth Benke (Stephen).

His memory will also be forever cherished by his grandchildren: Samantha Louise Hayden (Brandon), Miranda Autumn Miller (Jacob), Justin Wood and Jacob Wood - whose lives were touched by his unconditional love and guidance. Furthermore, he leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Autumn Rene Hayden and Audrey Rose Miller, who will grow up hearing stories of their extraordinary great-grandfather.

Throughout his life, James embodied the values of kindness, integrity, and selflessness. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His warm smile and gentle nature could brighten even the darkest of days. James will be fondly remembered for his unwavering optimism, zest for life, and his ability to bring people together.

The legacy of James W. Sharber will remain forever etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. As we celebrate his life and mourn our loss, let us find solace in the knowledge that his spirit will live on through his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
