It is with heavy hearts but warm memories that we announce the passing of John “Grumps” Clary, who left us on July 21, 2025. Born on January 18, 1965, John lived a life filled with love, laughter, and steadfast strength-a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, loyal friend.
John was the heart of his family. He was a loyal and loving husband to his wife, Kathleen Clary, who stood by his side through all of life’s seasons. John’s love for his family knew no bounds—his generosity and selflessness were felt in every word of advice, every helping hand, and every quiet sacrifice made for the ones he loved.
John was a man of simple pleasures. He had a deep passion for fishing, finding joy in every cast, and he treasured the beach, where the sound of the waves and the warmth of the sun always made him feel at home. Whether he was reeling in a big catch or wading the bay, his spirit radiated positivity and joy, making memories that will forever be cherished by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
To know John was to know kindness, patience, and unwavering support. He could catch your attention with his stories, share wisdom through his calm presence, and offer a smile that made you feel at ease. He lived not for recognition, but for the joy of giving—of time, of laughter, and of love.
John is survived by his wife Kathleen, his children Cara Clary and John Clary, His bonus children Brandon Gaydos (Tracie), Amanda Solis (Sal), and Jessica Jones (Dustin). John leaves behind his parents Fred and Wanda Clary as well as his sister Debbie Clary and brother Michael Clary (Tara).
