In Loving Memory of Juanita Mendez Juanita Mendez, 94, of Pearsall, Texas, passed away peacefully at home at 2:13 a.m. on August 28, 2026.Juanita was a devoted Catholic and an active member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, where she participated as a Cursillista, sang in the church choir, and was a member of Corazón de María. Even when she could no longer attend church in person, her faith remained an important part of her life.

Juanita was a strong-willed and resilient woman who taught those around her to keep going, no matter what life brought their way. She loved sewing and making blankets and doilies, putting love into every stitch. She also loved cooking for her family, specially making bean and egg tacos for her grandchildren and tamales during the holidays.

Juanita had a special love for her plants and flowers. Before she became immobile, she enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening and watering her flowers, finding joy in caring for the things she helped grow.

Juanita is survived by her daughter, Guadalupe "Lupita" Moreno (Carlos Ruiz); grandchildren, Jonathan Ramirez (Robert Ramirez) and Robyn Moreno; and great-granddaughter, Rosa Mae De Oliveira.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe Mendez, and daughter, Manuela Bermea. Juanita will be remembered for her faith, strength, love, and the countless ways she cared for her family. Her love will continue to live on through the generations she leaves behind.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. at Primrose Funeral Services of Pearsall, Texas. Mass will be held on Friday, September 5, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with interment to follow in Chilipitin Cemetery.
