Julia R. Benavides

Julia R. Benavides, passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 97. She entered this world on January 12, 1924, in Pearsall, Texas, born to Ernesto and Ninfa Benavides.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eulalio S. Benavides; son, Raymundo Benavides.

Julia is survived by her sons, Dan Benavides (Carmella), Feliberto Benavides, Willie Benavides (Mariola); daughters, Amelia B. Azocar (Manuel), Rosa Benavides; 19 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 35 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm on Monday, August 16, 2021, at Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Pearsall, Texas. A mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at 10:00 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Pearsall, Texas with an interment to follow in Pearsall Veterans Cemetery.
