Lester Jetton
Born in Junction, Texas on March 10, 1928, went to be with the Lord at the age of 93 on September 3, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence Jetton and Louise Jetton Crane, his wife of 61 years Virginia Grumbles Jetton, and grandson Heath Jetton of Kerrville.
He is survived by two sons: Gary and wife Margie of Kerrville and Barry and wife Brinda of Bigfoot, Three granddaughters: Karen and husband Joe (Chico) Hines of Dilley, Laura, and husband John Howard of Devine and Charna and husband John Allen of Bigfoot. Three grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Brother Tome and wife Nita Crane of Oklahoma, brother-in-law Clifon and wife Linda Grumbles of San Antonio, nieces, and nephews.
Lester was a dedicated member of the Church of Christ. He worked at Kelly Airfield over 30 years. He was a Mason for 72 years reaching 32nd degree. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He had much compassion for children and was very philanthropic. He loved to tease and make people laugh. He was a memorable character to everyone he met.
Memorial service: Friday September 17, 2021, at noon at the Church of Christ in Bigfoot, Texas. Food and fellowship following.
