Margaret L. Ray

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Margaret L. Ray, age 77, who left this world peacefully on June 13, 2025, in her cherished home in Moore, Texas with family. Born on September 15, 1947, in San Antonio, Texas, Margaret graced the lives of many with her unwavering spirit and boundless compassion. 

Margaret was a devoted mother to her beloved daughter, Tandy Gonzales and husband Oscar, a proud grandmother whose heart bloomed with love for her grandchildren, Garrett and wife, Abby, and Jake Gonzales; sisters Donna Brasher and Linda Ray; brother Terry Ray and wife, Lorie; numerous nieces, and nephews. She embraced life with an enthusiasm that found joy in every moment, whether it was tending to her vibrant garden or reveling in the excitement of a day spent hunting. Her laughter echoed through the aisles of shopping malls, where she sought treasures to share with those she loved. At the end of the day, it was the companionship of her dogs and cat that warmed her heart and offered her comfort.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents Thomas Ray and Francis Ray. 

Margaret was a woman of simple yet profound pleasures, drawing strength from family and the beauty of nature. Her legacy will endure in the memories of those who had the privilege to know her-her nurturing spirit, her kindness, and her fierce love for family will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched. 

The family will honor Margaret's life with a memorial service, celebrating her journey surrounded by family and friends who loved her dearly. Details of the service will be shared in the coming days, offering all who knew her a chance to gather and share stories, laughter, and tears as they remember the beautiful soul that was Margaret L. Ray.
