It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maria Perez, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished member of our community. Maria passed away on January 22, 2024, at the age of 75.

Maria was born on January 29, 1948, in the town of Dilley, Texas. She was a woman with a heart full of love and a passion for her family. Maria's greatest joy in life came from spending time with her loved ones, particularly her children Laura Covarrubias, Criselda Perez, and Anthony Perez whom she treasured beyond measure.

Maria's unconditional love extended not only to her immediate family but also to her loyal companion, her dog Chuntzy. Maria and Chuntzy shared countless adventures and moments of joy throughout the years, forging an unbreakable bond of love and loyalty.

Maria was known for her unwavering determination and strong will. She faced life's challenges head-on, never backing down and never giving up. Her spirit and resilience were an inspiration to all who knew her.

A compassionate and kind-hearted woman, Maria's love for her family was truly incomparable. She poured her heart and soul into caring for her loved ones, and her presence brought warmth, comfort, and laughter into the lives of many.

Maria's memory will forever remain in the hearts of her surviving children, alongside her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Though she was preceded in death by one of her sons, Humberto (Chumbe) Perez Jr. Maria's legacy of love, strength, and courage will continue to live on through her family and friends.

In honoring Maria's life and the profound impact she had on those around her, we invite friends and family to join us in celebrating her life. A visitation will be held on Jan 25, 2024, from 5 P.M. - 8 P.M. with a rosary at 6 P.M. at Primrose Funeral Services in Devine, Texas. On Friday, Jan 26, 2024, at 10 A.M. There will be a mass held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Services will conclude at the church.

Maria Perez will forever be remembered for her unwavering love, her indomitable spirit, and her timeless presence in the lives of those she held dear. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory continue to inspire us all.
