Maria M. Rodriguez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maria Rodriguez, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who departed this world peacefully on June 4, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on June 19, 1944, in Woodward, Texas, Maria lived a life filled with grace, love, and unwavering faith.

Maria dedicated her life to her family, exemplifying the true essence of devotion and compassion. She is survived by her cherished sons, Juan Jose "JJ" Garcia and wife Mari, Rolando Garcia, Jr., Jose Garcia and wife, Monica; grandchildren DJ, Lexie, Marc, Andrea, and Karina; and two great-grandchildren who carry forward her legacy of kindness and love. Her warmth touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her, as she delighted her family with delicious meals.

A faithful member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Dilley, Maria found strength and solace in her faith. She celebrated life through dancing, laughter, and joyful gatherings, often accompanied by the thrill of her favorite slot machines. Her garden blossomed under her loving touch, a true reflection of her nurturing spirit.

As we gather to celebrate Maria's life, we invite all who cherished her to join us in remembering a remarkable woman whose legacy will forever echo in the hearts of her family and friends. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her spirit inspire us to embrace each moment with love, laughter, and gratitude.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents Juan and Maria Molina; first husband Rolando Garcia; second husband Guadalupe Rodriguez; siblings Pedro, Dalia, Servando, Arturo, Olga, Guillerma, and Hortencia.

Visitation will be held at Primrose Funeral Services in Pearsall on Monday, June 9, 2025, starting at 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a Rosary recited at 7:00 PM, giving friends and family the opportunity to pay their respects and honor a life beautifully lived. A Mass honoring Maria's spirit will take place at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Dilley on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 9:00 AM, followed by her burial at 10:15 AM, where she will lay to rest, surrounded by the love that she so generously shared.
