Marilee F. Hardcastle

Marilee (Mert as many called her) went to her heavenly home on Monday, October 5, 2020, at the age of 93 yrs in Castroville, Texas.

She was born to Leo Jerome (Mike) Franklin and Ruby Lee (Susie) House.  She was the second of 10 siblings.

Marilee is survived by daughters Bonnie Jean Davis of Big Spring, TX,  Billie June Griffith of Harlingen, TX, and son Larry Davis of Austin.

Her grandchildren are Shelly Nietubyc, James Griffith, David Griffith, Mike Davis, Trey Pendleton, Mary Pendleton, and Bonnie Catt, as well as great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Siblings are June Gebert, Doris Boeker, Frankie Petty (husband Ronny Petty), Bonnie Hinkel (husband James Hinkel), and sister-in-law Sharon Franklin.  Marilee had numerous nieces, nephews, and many other family members that all enjoyed her many "zingers".

She is preceded in death by husband William Hardcastle; daughters Margo Davis, Frankie Davis, and Barbie Davis; son William Tim Davis; son-in-law Charles Griffith; sisters Louise Dalton and Matt Saunders; brother LJ Franklin and 2 baby boys.

Marilee spent many years working at the Security State Bank in Pearsall, Texas, and raising her seven children.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2020, at the Pearsall Cemetery with interment immediately following.
