Nancy Elizabeth Kurz 1947 – 2026

Nancy Elizabeth Kurz, 78, of Somerset, Texas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, after a brief and courageous battle with lung cancer.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and Wilbert Urban, her brothers, William “Billy” James Urban and James “Jimmy” William Urban and Stepson, Marshall Kurz.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Tommy Kurz, her children, Richard Martin, David Martin (Michelle), Kimberly McNeil (Billy), Valerie Frommel (Mike), Stepdaughters, Donna Kurz and Terri Macharro, as well as 10 Grandchildren, Cheyenne McNeil, Wyatt McNeil, Alexandra Martin, Jeremy Martin, Philip Martin, Nycole Bledsoe, Hunter Frommel, Logan Frommel, Louie Roney, Tristan Kurz, and 1 great grandchild, Kingston Pope. She is also survived by siblings Patty White and Michael George Kelley, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Nancy enjoyed spending time with Tommy at the ranch or one of their many road trip adventures. She loved her fur babies and always had her hummingbird feeders full. Baking Christmas cookies from her mother’s recipes was a joy for her and everyone who got to eat them. Her famous goulash was also a big treat that brought everyone to the table for dinner.

The family will begin receiving visitors at 9:00 a.m. with a Memorial Service at 10:00am on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Primrose Funeral Services in Lytle, Texas. After the memorial service please join the family at Somerset Baptist Church for fellowship and lunch.
