Nelida Valera

Nelida Valera, age 49, of Natalia, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025.

Nelida was born on August 23, 1976, in Veracruz, to Juan and Rebecca Valera. She was known for her deep love for her family, especially her cherished nieces and nephews. Nelida had a passion for gardening, loved to travel, and had a remarkable talent for photography. She also loved to cook and was a truly great chef, bringing people together through her food. She will be lovingly remembered for her strong faith and devotion to her Lord and Savior, and for her incredible courage throughout her cancer journey.

She is survived by her parents, Juan and Rebecca Valera; her seven brothers, Able, Israel, Abacub, Eder, Eric, Jose, and Isaac, along with their families; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Primrose Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The START Center for Cancer Care in San Antonio, Texas.
