Norma Linda Villarreal

It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved matriarch, Norma Linda Villarreal, who departed this life on September 12, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on July 15, 1964, Norma was a guiding light to all who knew her, embodying compassion, kindness, and a steadfast commitment to her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Concepcion Villarreal, along with her siblings, George, Betty (Betty Boop), Annabelle, Jesse, Diane (Dino) that were waiting to accept her with open arms.

Norma loved and tended to her plants and often gifted them to others to share her love; a passion that she learned from her Momma. She also loved the beauty of doves, her nickname was "La Paloma". She thoroughly enjoyed working. Her toils brought her great fulfillment as she worked tirelessly to serve others. Norma could be found dancing to her favorite songs with the biggest, brightest smile on her face. Norma was the heart and soul of her family, bringing joy and warmth to every gathering. 

She leaves behind her cherished sons, Abram Garses and his fiancé, Cassie Hernandez, Juan Garses, and Ralph Garses, along with her beloved daughter, Norma Garses. Her legacy lives on through her 12 grandchildren and one great-grandbaby, each of whom she adored unconditionally. Norma is also survived by her loving siblings: sisters, Priscilla, Becky, Sylvia, and Irene, and brother, Eddie. She shared a special bond with her cherished Yorkie, Sofia, who brought her countless moments of joy. She cherished her family, friends, and co-workers, and always treated everyone equally. 

Norma's unwavering support and thoughtfulness made her an irreplaceable figure in the lives of those who loved her. She was the glue that held the family together, always ensuring that everyone was celebrated on their birthdays and had the essentials they needed. Her nurturing spirit and attentiveness to life's details will be sorely missed, but her memory will continue to inspire us all.

In honor of Norma's remarkable life, a public viewing will be held on September 23, 2026, at 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Primrose Funeral Services in Lytle, Texas, allowing friends and family to gather in remembrance and celebration of her life. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Norma will be laid to rest in a place of peace at Rambie Grove Cemetery in, Von Ormy, Texas.

Guests are asked to wear Western Wear, or her favorite color, maroon in celebration.

As we come together to celebrate the life of Norma Linda Villarreal, we invite all who knew and loved her to join us in honoring her memory. Let us cherish the love, laughter, and joy she brought into our lives. Her spirit will live on in our hearts forever.
