Oscar G. "Sonny" Cubriel

Oscar G. "Sonny Cubriel, 84, of Pearsall, passed away on August 16, 2020 in San Antonio. He was born on February 13, 1936, in Pearsall to parents Raymond Cubriel and Alicia Guerra Cubriel.

He was preceded in death by his parents and step-father,Trini Rendon, brother Raymond Cubriel Jr., and one sister Alma Garza.

Sonny is survived by his wife, Isabel Rodriguez Cubriel, children Oscar Cubriel Jr., Noe (Dulce) Cubriel, Edna (Rene) Adame, Jamie (Dora) Cubriel, Irma Cubriel and Chano Delgado, Norma Gonzales and Joe Navarro; siblings Bobby (Barbara) Rendon, David Rendon, Rick (Juanita) Rendon, Richard (Bertha) Cubriel  , Linda (Joe) Ornelas, Gloria (Jesus) Gonzales, Mamie (Gene) Carmago, and Diana Rendon. There are 23 grandchildren, 47great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, August 20th from 2:00PM until 6:00PM at the funeral home. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 20, 2020, in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 21, 2020, in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.Interment will follow in the Pearsall Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers are Randy Cubriel, Bianca Cubriel, Oscar Cubriel III, Skyler Wolfe, Justin Gonzales, Jameson Cubriel, Marisa Adame and Rene Adame III.

Due to the restrictions imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, face coverings will be required and social distancing will be observed.
