Peter is preceded in death by his parents, Jose B. and Alicia Salinas, sister, Neomi Salinas and nephew, Matthew Hernandez. He is survived by his sister, Joann Hernandez and husband Manuel, Joyce Molina, Doris and husband Danny Diaz, Elizabeth Salinas, brothers, Richard and wife Kim Salinas, Joe and wife Juanita Salinas, Steven Salinas, James and wife Michelle Salinas, numerous nieces and nephews.
