Mona Wilson

Mona Wilson, 91, of Pearsall, passed into Heaven on May 30, 2025, in Hondo, Texas. She was born to Louis and Annie Rucker in Hondo. She was head Cheerleader and Valedictorian at Hondo High, but more importantly, a dedicated homemaker who loved her family well.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Wilbur, daughter-in-law Terrie, parents, brothers Frank, B.C., Monroe, George, and Hugh Rucker, sisters Winnie Braden, Anna Lee Rucker, and Ruth Bunting.

She is survived by sons Mike (Velma), Steve, (Debbie), and Kyle, grandchildren Julie Gasch (Lance), Garrett Wilson (Abby), Bryan Wilson (Jessica), Taylor Wilson (Whitney), Trey Wilson (Hannah), and Tyler Wilson (Lacey), great-grandchildren Emery, Aubrey and Olivia Gasch, Grace and Levi Wilson, Brayden, Braddock, Brynlee, Brislyn, and Braxton Wilson, Gaige and Rucker Wilson, John Walker and Emma Wilson, and sister Mary Emma Heiligman.

Mona attended many, many football, basketball, and volleyball games supporting her sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She made many friends throughout her life and her family is appreciative of her devotion as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Burial will be at the Yancey Cemetery at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4th with a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Pearsall.
