Obituary for Robert Soliz
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Soliz, a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, cherished brother and friend. Robert passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and strength.
Born with a spirit for the outdoors and a gift for working with his hands, Robert found joy in the simple pleasures of life - fishing at the lake, the sizzle of a backyard barbeque, and the peace of a night spent under the stars while camping with family. He worked in construction, where his skill and dedication left a mark on those he worked beside. Never one to sit still, Robert was always ready to lend a hand with home repairs, offering his time and expertise without hesitation. For many, he was more than a friend - he was a father figure, a steady presence, and a source of unwavering support.
Robert was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Roberta Saldana Gavina, and his sisters Diana Soliz and Debbie Soliz, whom he now joins in eternal rest.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Maria Rosario Soliz, who was his partner in all things and the love of his life. Together, they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Robert was the proud father of three daughters: Susan Soliz, Stephanie Astudillo (married to Andrew Astudillo), and Samantha Gamez (married to Luis Gamez). His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Dominic, Mario Jay, Savanah, Jessyln, Jesse, Dominic, Sophie, Emma, and Baby Bobby - each of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
Robert also leaves behind his beloved siblings: Carol Spratley, Ruby Sciore, Grace Dudley, and Adrian Soliz, who will remember him as the dependable, big-hearted brother who always showed up when it mattered most.
To know Robert was to know generosity, humor, and a love that he showed through his actions. His stories, his laughter, and strength will be missed.
