Roberto "Bob" Medina Saenz

Roberto "Bob" Medina Saenz, a dedicated employee of ButterKrust for many years, passed away on July 19, 2023, in his hometown of Pearsall, Texas. He was born on April 28, 1941, in Pearsall, Texas. Roberto was a loving husband to Rosario Saenz for 63 remarkable years.  He was an extremely hard worker and no matter the time or day he was always the one to count on.  Bob was loved by so many for his one of a kind personality he had and which can never be replaced.  He was the most desired bus driver by all the children.

Bob was the last surviving child from his parents and now he has joined them and all his brothers and sisters in Heaven. 

Outside of his careers, Roberto had a deep love for the Dallas Cowboys. 

Family was at the center of Roberto's life. He cherished every moment spent with Rosario and their children - Veronica Saenz Dutchover (Jimmy), Velma Saenz, Sandra Saenz Portillo (Jaime), and Roberto "Bobby" Saenz Jr. (JoAnn). The love and support he provided to each of them were immeasurable.

In addition to his children and wife, Roberto leaves behind a legacy that continues through multiple generations. His grandchildren - Dena, Richard; Joe; James, Lauren; Valorie; Robbie; Raymond - were the apple of his eye. Their smiling faces brought immense joy to him. And now, as time passes on, his great-grandchildren - Mila, Brennan, Jay, Lyla - will grow up hearing stories of their remarkable great-grandfather who loved them dearly.

Roberto "Bob" Medina Saenz will be remembered as a hardworking individual with an unwavering commitment to both family and career. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

A visitation will be on Friday, July 21, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Primrose Funeral Services in Pearsall. A mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Pearsall with interment to follow in Frio County Cemetery.
