Ronald Temple Harrison

Ronald "Ron" T. Harrison, age 78 of Devine, Texas passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, in Devine, Texas. Ron was born on February 18, 1943, in San Antonio, Texas to parents, Paul T. and Georgie Jane (Conover) Harrison. Ron was raised in Cotulla, Texas and graduated from Cotulla High School in 1961. He met his wife, Jane on a blind date and they began their lives together in Devine in 1964. Shortly after, he began working at Kelly Air Force Base. He retired at the age of 50 then he began focusing on being a gunsmith fulltime. Ron was well known for his quality craftsmanship by local law enforcement and hunters alike. He and his wife enjoyed the fellowship of the First Baptist Church of Natalia.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Georgie Harrison, sister, Barbara McCarty. Ron is survived by his wife of 56 years Jane Harrison; son, Scott Harrison; grandson, Drew Harrison; nieces and nephews, Doug Wadsworth, Debbie Schneider (Albert), Kenny Wadsworth (E.A.), Kristy Chant (Todd), James Marshall Wallace (Rhonda), Doug Wallace (Naydene), David Wallace (Lynn); Numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, friends and beloved dog, Bullet.
Visitation will be held Sunday, May 2, 2021, 5:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. Hurley Funeral Home Chapel Devine, Texas. Funeral service will be held Monday, May 3, 2021, 9:00 A.M. Hurley Funeral Home Chapel Devine, Texas with internment to follow in Moore Memorial cemetery.
