Virginia Swenson

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Virginia June Swenson, born June 2, 1930, she entered the gates of heaven on May 21, 2025, at the age of 94.

She is survived by her children Iris Swenson, Mark Swenson, Marilyn Stewart, and Luke Swenson. She is also survived by her grandchildren Tricia Stephens, Matthew Stewart, Trevor Stewart, Michael Stewart, Andy Stewart, Emily Neisner, Madelyn Hanson, Brandon Burke and Austin Burke. She is also survived by multiple great-grandchildren.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and nurse, always caring for others and spreading the love of Jesus. She was more than just our mother and grandmother, she was our best friend, confidante, and a beacon of love and laughter in our lives. She was a source of strength and love to her family and her friends.

Committal Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 10:30 A.M., Shelter #3 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, Texas, 78209.
