Wallace (Robert) Medd

Wallace (Robert) Medd of Bigfoot passed away November 28, 2021. He was born in South Bend, Indiana, to Wallace and Zaida Lamb Medd, and raised in Marcellus, Michigan. He moved to Texas in the 1980s and retired from Home Depot.
Robert was the love of Doris' and their children's lives. He loved going to the hunting lease with all his buddies and sitting around the ring of fire, where his comradeship with his hunting buddies always ended with someone missing the bus to go hunt the next morning. Robert also enjoyed gardening and having fun with Doris, especially traveling to see family wherever they were.
Robert grew up in Michigan but he always said "I want to live where there is no flooding and no rocks." Robert met Doris at a dance in St. Hedwig's at Bexar Hall and the rest is history. They married August 22, 2004, and had an adventurous life. They shared a deep love for each other, and anyone who met Robert will have many "Robert Memories" to share.
Robert is survived by his wife, Doris Medd; son, Douglas and wife Jenny of Virginia; daughter, Lisa Carlson and husband Dale of Minnesota; stepdaughter Virginia Meyers and husband Jack of Devine; and stepson Jerry Wayne Busby of Hondo. He is also survived by sisters: Martha Shugars of Michigan, Lucynda Rhinehart of California, Becky Cornwell of Florida, Debbie Hartman and husband Pete of Florida, and Brother Donald Medd and wife Marsha of Michigan. Preceding Robert in death were his four-year old son Daniel, his sisters Pam Springer and Janice Reynolds, and his parents. Robert and Doris have ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren (with another on the way), and one great-great grandchild and numerous nephews and nieces.

Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Divine Savior Lutheran Church, 405 Ingram Rd. Devine Tx., 78016. Services will conclude at the church.
