Zaragosa Gonzalez

January 14, 1959 - June 15, 2025With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Zaragosa Gonzalez, who departed this life surrounded by love and family. Born on January 14, 1959, Zaragosa lived a full and spirited life marked by hard work, deep faith, and an unwavering love for his family.Zaragosa was a man of many passions. He loved the simple joys of life-roosters, fishing, and hunting-always finding peace and purpose in the great outdoors. Known for his strong work ethic and warm charisma, Zaragosa spent many years as a car salesman, building lasting relationships and bringing joy to many with his sharp wit and infectious smile.

Zaragosa is preceded in death by his father, Eugene Gonzalez; brother Daniel Gonzalez, and granddaughters, Louuana Kay Ramirez, and Amelia Grace Gonzalez.

He was a devoted husband, leaving behind the love of his life, his beloved wife of 34 years, Mayte Gonzalez; who stood faithfully by his side. Zaragosa was a proud father to eight children; Christopher Gonzales, Sr., Vanessa Triana, Danielle Hernandez, Crystal Musquiz, Michael Gonzalez, Jamal Gonzalez, Giovanni Gonzalez, Christopher Gonzalez, Jr.; and a cherished grandfather to many. His family was his greatest treasure, and he poured his heart into guiding and providing for them.Above all, Zaragosa was a God-fearing man whose faith grounded his life and gave him strength. He led with humility, loved generously, and lived with purpose. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of love, laughter, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Rest easy, Zaragosa-you were deeply loved and will never be forgotten.

Services will be celebrated at the Primrose Funeral Chapel in Lytle, Texas. A public viewing will be held on Friday June 20, 2025 from 5:00pm - 9:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 10:00-11:00am. Interment will follow in Lytle Community Cemetery.
